Why are there no controls on the player when I watch my videos on a mobile device?

Because the operating systems of Android and iOS mobile devices (and most other mobile devices) are using their own native players for play back (because they don't want viewers to use volume and other controls of third party players, but rather the device's own functions).

As a result, mobile devices never load multi-functional players as embedded on websites, but play back the streams and VOD through their operating system's own native player.
