What does “enable embed code security" on the upload page mean?

This feature is part of the LightcastDRM Service included in larger Lightcast Service Packages. It secures the embed code so that it cannot be easily copied for the purpose to re-embed a video on a third-party site. Those who seek to maximize exposure/reach (churches) may not want this feature active. Those who seek to protect intellectual property (music or movie rights for instance) may need it.
The feature can be enabled through the video upload page by clicking on "Enable embed code security":
