Should I use a fixed-size player or a responsive player?

Choosing between the fixed-size or the responsive player depends greatly on the site you wish to embed the player on.

If a modern website is well designed and responsive to various screen resolutions and browsers, than a responsive player size would be the choice to use. One aspect of responsive web design is ensuring that elements within your page adapt gracefully to different screen sizes. With the "responsive" option for your Lightcast player, the player embed code will perfectly respond to the various devices, screen sizes, and resolutions that your responsive website elements does.

Some clients prefer a fixed size when embedding the player into their website because they want the player to perfectly fit into their website design, even on mobile. This is a valid thought if the website is not yet built to adapt to the viewer's device or resolution.
