I have highly critical 24/7 streams and live-events which I cannot afford to go offline. What can I do in order to protect my streams?

1. Add a bandwidth buffer. It is easy to add a bandwidth buffer of eternal Streaming Minutes with one click in your Control Center. Purchased Streaming Minutes are “eternal”. They never expire, but remain in your account to cover overage usage once your monthly (or annual) Package Minutes have run out.

2. Turn on Overdraft Protection. It is easy to turn on Overdraft Protection with once click in your Control Center. This setting will prevent any down-time of media.

3. Pay the bills. Make sure your payment details inside your Lightcast Account (under “Invoices”) are correct, valid, up-to-date and your card on file has sufficient credit to process the recurring payments instantly. Your monthly (or annual) anniversary date always remains the same, allowing you to prepare ahead and check on the validity and funding of your card on file.

Further information see:

My payment bounced and my media became unavailable. How come? I thought I receive new bandwidth with every payment cycle credited to my account.

Absolutely, but please note, that while our accounting system provides a grace-period within which payment failures can be resolved in order to avoid auto-deactivations, bandwidth is only being added along with the successful processing of a payment. This may result in the delay of new bandwidth being credited to your account if your payment is delayed. If you have added a bandwidth buffer to your account and you have turned on Overdraft Protection, your account will be safe and sound and all your media and channels will remain online.
