Which video export settings are recommended for Sony Vegas Pro?

We recommend the H.264 codec for video and the AAC codec for audio, encoded into MP4 (ideally under 1 GB per file and a maximum of 2 GB per file). Here are the recommended export settings when using Sony Vegas Pro:

Video rendering quality
  • Best

Video
  • Video format -> AVC
  • Frame size -> Width: 1280 / Height: 720 (Custom frame Size)
  • Do not allow source to adjust frame size.
  • Profile -> Main
  • Entropy coding -> CABAC
  • Frame rate -> 29,970 (NTSC) or 25 (PAL)
  • Allow source to adjust frame rate
  • Field order -> None (Progressive Scan)
  • Pixel asect ratio -> 1,0000
  • Bit rate (bps) -> 5.000.000

Audio
  • Audio format -> AAC
  • Sample rate (Hz) -> 44.100
  • Bit rate (bps) -> 112.000

System
  • Format -> MP4 file format (.mp4)
