I uploaded filler videos but the Scheduler is using the default placeholder filler video. Why?

If the scheduler is using the default placeholder filler video instead of your own uploaded filler videos, then it is because of one of the three reasons below:

1. A gap is too small for any videos in your current Filler video library, and as a result our system filler video will be played.

2. For larger gaps, the placeholder filler video only comes into play when there is time remaining that wouldn't fit any of your filler video.

e.g. If you have 4 filler videos of 15 seconds each and there is a gap of 66 seconds (1m 6s). The gap will be filled as follows:
Client filler video 1 (15 seconds)
Client filler video 2 (15 seconds)
Client filler video 3 (15 seconds)
Client filler video 4 (15 seconds)
Placeholder filler video (6 seconds)

Keep in mind that each of your filler videos are played only once per gap, and that the placeholders filler video is only played in the following scenarios:

  • The gap is too small for any filler videos to fit
  • All filler videos have been used for that gap and there is still a gap remaining

For gaps under 5 seconds a simple black screen will be displayed.
